Zendaya and Tom Holland are engaged

(Gray News) - Zendaya and Tom Holland are engaged, according to People, citing “a family source.”

Holland popped the question to his longtime girlfriend Zendaya over the holidays, according to reports.

“Everyone close to them knew an engagement was happening” but did not know exactly when, according to People.

“He’s always been crazy about her. He always knew she was the one. They have something very special,” a source told People.

The couple shared the news of their engagement to loved ones around New Year’s.

The public started talking after Zendaya showed up to the Golden Globes red carpet Sunday wearing a Louis Vuitton gown and Bulgari jewelry, but she was also wearing a ring on her left ring finger that was not mentioned in Bulgari’s press release.

According to the Los Angeles Times, one of their reporters noticed Zendaya’s ring and held up her own engagement ring and pointed to it. Zendaya responded by showing the reporter her ring. When the reporter asked Zendaya if she was engaged, “she kept showing her ring, smiled coyly and shrugged her shoulders mysteriously.”

Zendaya and Holland have been friends since appearing in “Spider-Man: Homecoming” in 2017. The two were seen kissing in a car in July 2021 and in September 2021, Holland confirmed he and Zendaya were dating in an Instagram post for her birthday.
