Young Sheldon Season 7 Images Show First Look At Big Bang ...

Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik are back as Sheldon and Amy in Young Sheldon series finale images. As previously confirmed, The Big Bang Theory couple will be back in the much-anticipated send-off for the Coopers on May 16. Despite both Parsons and Bialik getting involved in Young Sheldon over the years, this is the first time that they will physically play their respective roles again since The Big Bang Theory finale in 2019.

Per Paramount, Parsons and Bialik reprise their The Big Bang Theory roles as Sheldon and Amy as part of the Young Sheldon season 7 finale. In the images, Sheldon can be seen in front of his computer, seemingly finishing some work. This backs up the previous revelation that adult Sheldon is working on his memoir, hence why he is narrating the events of Young Sheldon. Check out the first-look images below:

Where Are Leonard, Penny, And The Rest Of TBBT Cast?

The aforementioned images come with no context, but they offer plenty of clues as to what to expect in the Young Sheldon finale. Firstly, the focus will be on the family and the Coopers. Looking at the decorations behind Sheldon's room, most of them relate to his biological family. Beside his Nobel Prize in Physics picture with Amy is a family photo of the Coopers. Interestingly, there isn't any trace of Leonard and the rest of the Pasadena gang, which may be alarming for long-time fans of the flagship show — especially those hoping for a The Big Bang Theory reunion.

Secondly, Sheldon and Amy are in an entirely new setting. This room was never featured in The Big Bang Theory, and it's clearly not in their Apartment 4B unit in the nerd-centric sitcom. This suggests that the pair moved between now and the last time they were on the screen. It's uncertain how much of this new place will be featured in Young Sheldon, but assuming that the couple leaves the room for more surprise cameos, the finale may even feature their children in their new abode. As previously established in the prequel, the couple has more than one child.

Finally, adult Sheldon's smile suggests that despite George's impending death, Young Sheldon will still end on a happy note. The writers are confirmed to delay the character's demise until the finale, which risks dominating the rest of the one-hour send-off, considering the popularity of the Cooper patriarch. Somehow, however, these images imply that the family comedy will be able to recover in time for a lighthearted ending.
