"LEAVE TAEHYUNG ALONE" - Internet reacts as fans accuse Min Hee-jin of using BTS' V to shift public opinion amid ongoing controversy

Amidst the persistent feud between HYBE and Min Hee-jin, a new development has led BTS ARMYs to suspect her of utilizing V of BTS to sway public opinion. On October 29, Min Hee-jin appeared on music critic Kim Young-dae's live broadcast on the YouTube channel '김영대의 School of Music,' where she discussed being followed closely by a car and receiving malicious threats.

She then mentioned being supported by BTS' V during her difficult time with HYBE.

For the unversed, Min Hee-jin filed an injunction against HYBE, demanding her reinstatement as CEO of ADOR, a role currently held by Kim Ju-young. However, the Seoul Central District Court rejected her case the very same day.

On the live stream, Min Hee-jin claimed that the BTS member contacted her to check on her well-being in the face of the ongoing situation. According to her statement, despite being in the military, V had reached out and showed concern about when to contact her when the situation was still fresh. He allegedly even wished her on her birthday, for which she highly praised his kindness.

However, her statements had some contradictions as highlighted by fans of the artist, who pointed out that her birthday, on December 16, was way before HYBE's legal conflict. One ARMY asked ADOR's ex-CEO to leave Kim Taehyung, aka V, out of the feud.

"she just lose her 2nd injunction and her a** is back in dropping idol's name to victimize herself for mediaplay and headlines bruh LEAVE TAEHYUNG ALONE let him serve his military service in peace, stop involving him in ur corporate war drama."

More comments followed with similar sentiments, claiming Min Hee-jin was leveraging BTS' V as a "shield." Others asserted that the idol couldn't have texted her then as he was newly enlisted, hence under strict rules.

"he couldnt hace messaged her bc he enlisted on the 11th and soldiers dont have access to phones for the first 5 weeks.." Another comment read.

"Keep his name out your mouth," a netizen added.

Here are some more reactions, noting how she made the revelations after her injunction was declined in court. Fans assumed it was to gain sympathy while shifting public opinion.

"She lost the injunction this afternoon, the judge rejected her demand to be re-instated as the CEO calling all her claims "illogical" and just like clockwork,, she drops this random, vague scoop in the evening with 0 details or timeline to again divert media attention hoping to gave some public & kpopstan sympathy,," an X-user posted.

"Someone needs to ban her from namedropping idols wtf," one netizen claimed.

Recalling some of Min Hee-jin's statements during her recent 'School of Music' live broadcast

In May 2024, alleged leaked chat conversations of Min Hee-jin purportedly showed her intentions of wanting to "end BTS." At the time, all members of the K-pop septet were serving in the military. When Min talked about having apparently been in contact with BTS' V during her broadcast with Kim Yeon-dae, she called the member "bubbly" and "lively" for reaching out to her in her moment of distress.

In the 'School of Music' broadcast, Min Hee-jin stated:

"On my birthday, V sent me a text message from the military at dawn wishing me a happy birthday."

She went on:

"He (V) is so bright and bubbly; he's such a lively kid. I was truly touched. It takes a kind heart to do something like that, and I was really grateful."

According to ChosunBiz's October 30 report, during the livestream, she clarified that her intention behind filing an injunction against HYBE was to prove her innocence and purity. While Min admitted to knowing that an unprecedented lawsuit like hers had only a 10-20% chance of winning, she wanted to provide another chance for the label to reconsider.

She stressed that she never wanted to leave the company, unlike HYBE's claims. She further spoke about being incessantly tormented by a strange frame and once more insisted on her need to prove her innocence.

In addition, she claimed that she was being tailed by a suspicious car, which she reported to the police after managing to click a picture of its license plate. She also indicated that she was receiving harmful threats.
