"Another lie from MHJ"- Fans react as Min Hee-jin opens up about receiving birthday messages and support from BTS' V amid conflict with HYBE

On October 29, 2024, former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin revealed receiving support from BTS’ V amid her conflict with HYBE. Min Hee-jin shared this when she appeared on School of Music D-talks First Live on YouTube, hosted by Kim Young-dae.

The former ADOR CEO joined forces with BTS’ V, aka Kim Taehyung, for the concept and creative process of his first solo album Layover, released on September 8, 2023. However, since April 2024, HYBE LABELS and Min Hee-jin have been going through an internal conflict, and the former CEO claimed to have received support from V during the ongoing feud.

On the School of Music, she revealed that Kim Taehyung contacted her to ask about her well-being.

“I'm going through this, and V contacted me cheerfully and said, 'Are you okay?’ I'm grateful that V worried a lot,” she said.

She further claimed that the BTS member wished her on her birthday.

“He even contacted me to congratulate me on my birthday. He's a lively friend,” she added.

As soon as the video clips from the interview started circulating online, BTS fans noticed that Min Hee-jin was born on December 16, 1979. They speculated that the ADOR internal director lied about receiving birthday messages and support from V.

Fans noticed that Min Hee-jin's birthday was before her feud with HYBE began in April 2023.

“wow another lie from MHJ and yet gp and netizens beleive that she is the victim when she literally is lying abot a bts member. this is a minor thing imagine what she can do if there was a bigger thing she alrady shows how good of a liar she is,” a fan said.

“Isn’t her birthday on December?so?it means if he called her it’s before the whole drama!?why is she talking about it now?why everyone wants taehyung clout so bad free my man for gods sake,” another fan said.

“She is using tae cause court didn't accept her request for the CEO position....” a user said.

Fans continued to speculate that former CEO Min was being truthful about receiving support from V.

“She want bts validation so bad that she start talking about the past,” a fan wrote.

“Taehyung is the kindest person in this whole world but can these CEOs stop using him for their advantage,” a user commented.

“Mhj is now dragging the boys directly into this. And SO MANY of you are believing her nonsense. Now that the court has rejected her request, she will do ANYTHING,” another user commented.

However, some netizens supported Min Hee-jin after learning that V allegedly keeps in touch with her.

"i’m sorry but i trust taehyung if he’s still friends with mhj and keeps in contact with her that’s all i need to know. TAEHYUNG FREEDOM FROM HYBE 2025 LET’S GO," a user commented.

"v and MHJ are besties," a fan stated.

"Will stand with him whether it's true or not," a fan wrote.

Court rejects Min Hee-jin's injunction application against HYBE for reinstatement as the CEO of ADOR

On August 27, ADOR dismissed Min Hee-jin as CEO and appointed Chief Human Resource Officer Kim Joo-young as her replacement. On September 13, Min filed an injunction against HYBE to regain her position, claiming that her dismissal violated the shareholders' agreement.

According to Chosun, the Seoul Central District Court Civil Division 50, presided by Judge Kim Sang-hoon, rejected the injunction application. This was because the claims made by Min did not meet the requirements to perform any legal judgment.

The court stated:

“The (injunction) application is unlawful because it has no merit, there is also insufficient evidence regarding the right to preservation.”

Meanwhile, Min Hee-jin continues to work as an in-house creative director at ADOR and will stay in charge of directing NewJeans’ concepts and other productions.
