In AUS vs SL 2nd T20I at Sydney Cricket Ground, Australia batted first and slammed 164-6 on the scoreboard. Openers Ben McDermott and Aaron Finch scored 18 and 25 respectively. Later, one-down Josh Inglis slammed 48 runs. Rest of the batsmen could not surpass the 20-run mark individual score.

For Sri Lanka, Dushmantha Chameera and Wanindu Hasaranga picked 2 wickets each while Nuwan Thushara and Maheesh Theekshana picked 1 wicket each. For Sri Lanka, opener Pathum Nissanka slammed a marvellous knock of 73 off 53 balls. Dasun Shanaka also scored 34 runs.

Danushka Gunathilaka and Charith Asalanka got out for ducks which gave a big blow to Sri Lanka’s batting. In the end, Sri Lanka managed to reach 164-8 till the final ball and the match went to the super over. In the super over, Sri Lanka could only pile up 5/1 in 6 deliveries. Later, Australia comfortably managed to score 6 runs off 3 balls to win the match.
