Tuttosport: Milan player ratings from Genoa win – Kalulu shines but Giroud struggles
There were not many things to shout about during AC Milan’s 2-0 win over Genoa but the Rossoneri got the job done and responded well to Inter’s victory over Spezia.
According to this morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanPosts), Mike Maignan was worth of a score of 6.5 out of 10 as he kept a seventh straight clean sheet across all competitions. Pierre Kalulu was the man of the match with a 7, while Matteo Gabbia got a 6, Fikayo Tomori for a 6.5 and Theo Hernandez got a 6.
Both members of the double pivot got a 6 as Ismael Bennacer and Sandro Tonali struggled to really control the game. Alexis Saelemaekers got a mark of 5 and his replacement Junior Messias got a 6.5 as he scored the second goal.
Franck Kessie simply did not affect the game much as a playmaker and got a 5.5, with the opening scorer Rafael Leao getting a 6.5 and Olivier Giroud receiving the worst score of 5. Ante Rebic – who came on for the Frenchman – got a 6.
