Newtopia's cast includes both seasoned and emerging actors. Directed by Yoon Sung-hoon, who is best known for the 2011 film, Bleak Night, Newtopia is one of the most anticipated K-dramas of 2025. With Blackpink's Jisoo and Park Jeong-min leading the cast of Newtopia, the zombie K-drama sees the characters break up after Jeong-min’s character, Lee Jae-yoon, begins undergoing his army training. Following their breakup, Seoul becomes overrun by zombies, and Kang Young-joo goes on a quest to reunite with her ex-boyfriend.
Some of the actors in Newtopia will be recognized by fans of K-dramas for starring in popular Korean TV shows such as Hellbound, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, and Snowdrop. The cast of the fantasy K-drama does an incredible job of capturing the intense moments in Yoon Sung-hoon's show. Actor: Born in Chungju, South Korea, Park Jeong-min became famous for his role as Hee-joon in Bleak Night. Kang Young-Seok as Seo Jin-Wook: Kang Young-Seok, who plays Seo Jin-Wook in Newtopia, began his acting career in 2011. He has since appeared in several movies and K-dramas, such as The Kidnapping Day, Poong the Joseon Psychiatrist, and 100 Days My Prince.
