At 03:00 GMT, Copacabana beach in Rio, Brazil, will be packed with revellers ringing in the new year. And this aerial view of the famous beach shows plenty of people are there already.
The famed celebrations, locally called the Réveillon party, is one of the largest in the world.
But before the organised chaos, there's a lot to prepare, including loading a barge with enough fireworks to mark the occasion in spectacular fashion.
Attendees can expect several boats laden with fireworks, so they all get a good view, as well as performances from big name stars like Brazilian singer Anitta.
A beach vendor told Reuters news agency that sales are already "very good".
He says "it's still early but 2 million people are expected today. We are together! Happy new year for all."
And the Copacabana Palace hotel is expecting to open more than 1,000 bottles of champagne to bring in 2025. Sounds like a headache for plenty tomorrow!
