From Demon Slayer to Blood of Zeus: Complete list of anime releasing in May 2024

The spring anime season began in April with new seasons of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime season 3 and Konosuba season 3, and it appears that May will not be far behind with series such as Demon Slayer and My Hero Academia. Here are all the upcoming anime releases for May 2024:

Release date: 7 May

The seventh season of My Hero Academia covers the Star and Stripe (chapters 329–334), U.A. Traitor (chapters 335–342), and the initial parts of the manga series' Final War arc. This new season will consist of 25 episodes, and Crunchyroll will simulcast the series.

Release date: 9 May

Blood of Zeus will return in May with season 2, following the story of Zeus' demigod son Heron. In October 2020, Netflix added the first season to their anime library, in which Heron saves Olympus and Earth from a demonic army.

The hit anime series Code Geass returns with another movie, Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture, which will be released in four parts: the first in May, the second in June, and the third and fourth in July and August, respectively.

This anime's premise is based on the same-named manga series authored by Kazumi Takayama, a former idol from the Nogizaka46 girl group.

Release date: 12 May

Demon Slayer season 4 will feature the highly awaited Hashira Training arc, which spans chapters 128 to 136 of the original manga series. It will air on Crunchyroll.

Garouden: The Way of the Lone Wolf is based on Baku Yumemakura's serial novel,  Garouden. This series will take you into the realm of underground fighting, where the main  character must battle both his inner demons and his opponents.

Release date: 24 May

My Oni Girl will premiere on Netflix in May. Hiiragi, a first-year high school student, meets  Tsumugi, an oni (Japanese mythological creature) girl who has arrived in the human world in  quest of her mother.
