President Jokowi Wishes Indonesian Christians a Merry Christmas
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo or Jokowi, through his official Twitter account, wishes a Merry Christmas to Christian communities on Friday, December 25.
According to the president, this year’s Christmas celebration is different from previous years’ as the country, and the world is still under the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Today’s Christmas is unlike the past years’ when the year-end joy still filled us all. The pandemic has changed a lot of things and taught [us] lessons,” Jokowi said through his Twitter account @jokowi, Friday, December 25.
He hopes that this Christmas will bring peace and salvation.
"May peace, safety, and blessings always accompany our steps," Jokowi remarked.
