Singer Lil Bo Weep dies at 22 after battle with depression, trauma and PTSD

Lil Bo Weep, an Australian singer with a large following on YouTube, died Saturday (March 5) at age 22, her father announced.

The artist’s dad, Matthew Schofield, wrote in a Facebook post: “We lost the fight for my daughter’s life against depression, trauma, PTSD and drug addiction.”

“She fought hard against her demons as we all did side by side next to her and picking up the broken pieces over and over again but she could not fight any more and we lost her,” Schofield wrote.

Lil Bo Weep, whose real name was Winona Lisa Green, had 125,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel, where she posted songs that regularly racked up tens of thousands of views.

Her most popular songs included Untitled, Sorry and not ok but its ok.

“As her dad I am proud of her beyond words as she is my hero, my daughter and my best friend that i love so so much,” Schofield wrote. “She is no longer hurting now with the universe wanting their angel back.”

The singer’s last Instagram post was shared on Wednesday (March 2), with the artist saying in a tearful video that she lost a child about a year ago. – New York Daily News/Tribune News Service
