Consequently, the likes of The Verge and VideoCardz have inferred that this dark grey model will run a version of SteamOS by default, not Windows.
Ultimately, no concrete information has emerged yet to back up this inference. With that being said, Valve it looks like Valve is edging closer to officially supporting the ROG Ally with a version of SteamOS. In other words, it is not out of the real of possibility that this software support will be extended to other Windows gaming handheld manufacturers too, including Lenovo. However, there was no suggestion that there would be dedicated SteamOS alternatives to the Steam Deck on the horizon.
