'Exhuma' continues box office domination, surpassing 4 million moviegoers in just eight days

Since its much-anticipated premiere on February 22, 'Exhuma' has been on a remarkable winning streak, maintaining its position at the top of the Korean box office for a solid eight consecutive days. March 1 brought yet another milestone for the star-studded film, as the Korean Film Council revealed that 'Exhuma' had swiftly soared past the 4 million moviegoer mark, a mere two days after crossing the 3 million milestone. This achievement makes 'Exhuma' as the very first film of 2024 to accomplish such a feat. What sets 'Exhuma' apart is its rapid ascent to the 4 million viewers benchmark, outpacing even the success of the recent blockbuster '12.12: The Day', which took approximately 12 days to achieve the same milestone before etching its place as the sixth highest-grossing film in South Korean box office history. 'Exhuma' is an occult mystery film, revolving around two exorcists portrayed by the acclaimed Kim Go Eun and rising star Lee Do Hyun, alongside a stellar cast featuring Yoo Hae Jin as a mortician and Choi Min Sik as a feng shui master. Together, they decide to relocate mysterious graves in exchange for a substantial amount of money.
