(U18 Male)

The U-18 Cariboo Cougars host the South Island Royals Saturday afternoon at 2:30 and Sunday morning at 6:00 at CN Centre.

The (11-11-1-3) Cougars are 5th out of 10 teams while the (8-16-0-2) Royals are 8th.

(U18 Female)

The U-18 Female Northern Capitals visit the (4-20-1) Greater Vancouver Comets Friday night at 8:15 in Richmond.

The (15-6-0-3) Caps, sitting 2nd out of five teams, also visit the (7-15-0-1) Vancouver Island Seals Saturday at 4 p.m. and Sunday morning at 9:00 in Chemainus.

(U17 Male)

The U-17 Cariboo Cougars are in Richmond Saturday and Sunday for games against the second-place Greater Vancouver Canadians (20-7-1-0).

The (12-11-0-1) Cougars are in seventh-place in the 10-team division.

(U15 Male)

The U15 Cariboo Cougars are scheduled to take on the second-place Vancouver Northwest Hawks at the Fort Forum Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at 10 a.m. in Fort St. James. The Hawks boast a record of 18-4-1-0, while the ninth-place Cougars are 5-13-0-2.

Curling: (Canadian women’s championship in Thunder Bay)

Two teams remain unbeaten after Tuesday’s action at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Thunder Bay.

Team Canada tops Pool B at 6-0 while New Brunswick leads Pool A with a 5-0 record.

B.C. is struggling at 1-5.

The UNBC Timberwolves visit the Trinity Western Spartans in men’s and women’s Canada West basketball Friday and Saturday night.

The UNBC women are 5-6 on the season while the Trinity Western women are in first place in the West Division with a 12-2 record.

The UNBC men are 4-9 while the Trinity Western men are 5-8.

Tom Brady officially confirmed the speculation that he is retiring.

The 44-year-old Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback, who has won seven Super Bowls, announced his retirement (Tuesday) on Instagram.
