FA Cup Final: Manchester United vs Chelsea
Manchester United lost their first ever Vitality Women's FA Cup final after losing 1-0 at the hands of Chelsea. Chelsea forward Sam Kerr scored the game's only goal and it was her fifth goal in the three successful FA Cup finals she has appeared in.
Despite the loss, Manchester United manager Marc Skinner promised that the team will be back. "We will be back," he said. "We have a lot of young players who will learn from this experience and we will come back stronger."
Sam Kerr's Impressive Record
Sam Kerr's goal in the FA Cup final was her fifth goal in three successful finals. The Australian forward has been in impressive form since joining Chelsea in 2019, scoring a total of 36 goals in 44 appearances for the club.
Kerr's performance in the final helped Chelsea secure their second consecutive FA Cup title and their ninth overall. The team will now turn their attention to the Women's Super League, where they currently sit in second place behind Manchester City.
