A few days after leaker @JasperEllens leaked more info regarding the microphone's battery capacity, DJI has announced a new event titled “Carry Less, Capture More”, set for November 26, 2024, at 8 AM EST, sparking speculation about the long-awaited official debut of the DJI Mic Mini. While DJI hasn’t confirmed the event’s focus, the tagline and teaser imagery featuring a compact, cube-shaped device strongly hint at a product designed for portability and convenience—qualities that align perfectly with the leaks we’ve seen over the past few weeks.

The DJI Mic Mini has been making waves in the rumor mill, with leaks revealing a lightweight design (just 10 grams), versatile bundles, and competitive pricing starting at €59 (~$62). The premium bundles include dual transmitters, a charging case, windshields, and adapters - a comprehensive package for creators seeking a portable audio solution. With up to 10 hours of battery life while connected via Bluetooth and an additional 48 hours provided by the charging case, the Mic Mini could redefine compact audio recording.

If the Mic Mini is indeed the star of this event, it could position DJI as a solid player in the budget microphone market. On the flip side, if you're okay with shelling out more money, the older DJI Mic has a robust feature set at a higher price. It's currently listed for $159.00 on Amazon.
