At. Long. Last.
Season two of “Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba)”—the “Entertainment District Arc”— premieres this Sunday, Dec. 5. The episode will be available for streaming at 10:45 a.m. (ET) for all us English-speaking fans out there.
Now, before we move forward, PennLive would like to state that every and all anime or manga posts on this website are completely spoiler-free. That being said, feel free to scroll through this article some more without the stress of potentially seeing something you shouldn’t.
It’s been a couple of years since fans of the anime were treated to a brand new season of “Demon Slayer.” Granted, Funimation did release the “Mugen Train Arc”—an episodic version of the movie with a bunch of new tidbits thrown in—leading up to the release, but still…it’s been a long ride, guys.
The first season of the series focused on the tragic story of Tanjiro, and how he ended up becoming a slayer of demons. See, Tanjiro returns home one day to find his family slaughtered, the only survivor—his sister, Nezuko—having been turned into a demon in the process. From there one out, Tanjiro not only swears to finding the demon behind the killings and to avenge his family, but to also find a cure for Nezuko so that she become a human again.
Season two will pick up directly after the movie left off, and introduces a brand new demon named Daki for Tanjiro and crew to fight.
Excited? A little bit nervous? Yeah, us too.
