KUALA LUMPUR: KL Wellness City (KLWC) marked the joyous celebration of Chap Goh Mei 2025 with a heartfelt gathering featuring children from local orphanage homes, a spectacular Asean record-breaking dance feat and a presentation of RM15,000 worth of AirAsia flight vouchers to purchasers of units at The Nobel Healthcare Park.

The event underscored the company’s commitment to fostering wellness, community engagement and cultural appreciation.

The celebration was graced by distinguished guests including Member of Parliament (MP) for Seputeh Teresa Kok Suh Sim, Selangor investment, trade and mobility committee chairman Ng Sze Han and Visit Malaysia 2026 head of secretariat cum advertising and digital division senior director Mohd Amirul Rizal Abdul Rahim.

One of the major highlights of the event was KL Wellness City’s Asean record feat for a self-composed and copyrighted Chinese New Year song, performed live with a choreographed dance. The performance, featuring staff and participants in traditional attire, was a proud moment for KLWC, symbolising cultural unity and artistic expression.

Upon successful completion, all participants received a KLWC achievement certificate and special gifts worth over RM200 as token of appreciation.

Since the opening of the gallery in 2022, KL Wellness City has remained dedicated to supporting underprivileged children and the elderly as part of its ongoing commitment to community well-being.

This year, the Chap Goh Mei celebration included a special programme to share the festive spirit with children from five local orphanage homes:

> Praise Emmanuel Children’s Home

> Trinity Community Children Home Society

> Lifecare Community Services Bhd

> Persatuan Rumah Sayangan

> Pertubuhan Kebajikan Yesuvin Mahligai (YM) Selangor

KLWC also presented donations and gifts to the homes, reinforcing its mission to give back to society.

The KLWC AirAsia free flight ticket campaign, valid for travel throughout 2025, were presented as a special reward for new property buyers at The Nobel Healthcare Park.

This exclusive campaign provides complimentary flight tickets, allowing purchasers to enjoy memorable holidays as an added bonus for their investment.

The campaign received an overwhelming response and was extended until April 10. Many buyers took advantage of this unique opportunity during the campaign period. These units represent a unique opportunity for residents to embrace a lifestyle centred on health and wellness within a groundbreaking integrated healthcare development.

In the lead-up to Chap Goh Mei, KLWC ran a Chinese New Year music video contest on social media from Jan 8 to Feb 9. The contest attracted more than 1 million views and over 8,000 likes and shares.

Winners of the contest were announced on Feb 10 via social media and were presented their prizes at the event. Three winners walked away with iPhone 16 each, while seven other winners received festive gifts.

Mohd Amirul, represented Tourism Malaysia deputy chairman Datuk Yeoh Soon Hin, who graced the event as the guest of honour, highlighted the importance of corporate initiatives in enriching Malaysia’s cultural and social landscape.

He remarked, “Celebrations like these are a beautiful reflection of Malaysia’s unity in diversity.

“It is heartening to see KL Wellness City lead by example in giving back to the community while preserving cultural traditions.

“KL Wellness City’s commitment to supporting underprivileged communities while fostering a wellness-focused lifestyle sets a meaningful example of how corporations can positively impact society.”

He added, "As Malaysia takes on the role of Asean Chair this year, initiatives like these showcase the nation's leadership in cultural preservation, inclusivity and community engagement.”

In his opening address, KL Wellness City managing director Datuk Dr Colin Lee emphasised KLWC’s vision for a wellness-driven and inclusive community, while highlighting the unique essence of this year’s Chap Goh Mei celebration.

"KL Wellness City’s Chap Goh Mei celebration goes beyond the usual food, drinks and festivities. It offers a distinctive experience that blends cultural heritage, wellness and community support, setting it apart from conventional celebrations.”

Following the success of the Chap Goh Mei celebration, KL Wellness City is set to host its Hari Raya launching event in March, where the company will continue its focus on cultural appreciation, community engagement and wellness-driven initiatives.
