Following their hard-fought win against Real Sociedad away from home, Barcelona face off against Rayo Vallecano at Camp Nou in Matchweek 34 of the 2021/22 La Liga.

And manager Xavi Hernandez has made two changes to the lineup that took the field at the Reale Arena for Sunday’s game as he looks to help the Catalans tighten their grip on the second spot in the standings.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen continues in goal as is the norm for Barça. Gerard Pique has been replaced in the lineup is Eric Garcia possibly as a precaution after he picked up a knock against Real Sociedad last time out.

Ronald Araujo and Dani Alves had also come off with injuries against La Real. But the former is fit to feature from kickoff on Sunday, while the latter has been replaced by Sergino Dest. At left-back, there is no looking past Jordi Alba.

No changes have been made in the middle of the park as Xavi has stuck with the trio of Gavi, Sergio Busquets, and Frenkie de Jong. It means that Nico Gonzalez is once again left out on the bench.

As for the attacking third, Ferran Torres, Ousmane Dembele and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang all feature yet again, with no rotations made by the Barcelona manager.

Luuk de Jong, Adama Traore, Memphis Depay, Martin Braithwaite and Riqui Puig are all named among the substitutes.
