ASUS’ ProArt Display 5K PA27JCV is launching next month
ASUS has announced that their new ProArt Display 5K PA27JCV will be available next month. This Calman Verified 27-inch 5K display boasts a 5120 x 2880 resolution and factory-calibrated Delta E
With ASUS’ Light Sync technology, this screen has ambient Light and Backlight sensors to ensure reliable colour performance in all operating conditions. The screen also features useful add-ons like a KWM for multi-system use and a range of connectivity options that include DisplayPort HDMI, and DisplayPort over USB. Furthermore, this screen boasts a 60 Hz refresh rate and HDR10 support.
Note that this screen is designed for productivity, not gaming. While many games would look great on a 5K monitor, this screen’s 60Hz refresh rate makes it a productivity-only product. Note that this IPS screen’s VRR range is minimal 48-60Hz, and its G2G response times are 0.5ms.
This screen features a USB 3.2 hub. This hub has one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C connection and three OSUB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A connections.
Thanks to this screen’s Light Sync features, users are given visuals with ideal brightness levels across a wide range of use case scenarios. This screen can be used in a bright studio or a darker area without any issues. This ensures reliable performance wherever this screen is used.
ASUS has also used a new anti-glare/low-reflection “LuxPixel” AGLR coating. This gives the screen a paper-like screen effect, and avoids the softer images that traditional matte displays produce.
Unfortunately, ASUS’ press release for this new display lacks official pricing information.
