Waze launches Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire tie-in, enabling users to get directions from Dan Aykroyd
Among the best Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire tie-ins that we’ve seen yet, Waze has announced a new driving experience that features the one and only Ray Stantz— voiced by Dan Aykroyd, sharing his infectious blast of ghostbusting enthusiasm as part of your daily commute.
Available within the community-driven navigation app, fans will appreciate verbiage direct from the character of Ray Stantz. Among the highlights are gems like, “On this drive, I’ll be giving you directions verbally. Please ignore any clairvoyance or telepathic communications. That’s not me. That’s a mischievous spirit.” Also, with Ray always on duty, expect your surroundings to be swept for paranormal activity, with an occasional quip being delivered, such as, “Both the psychometric and ectoplasmic energy valences in this cul-de-sac are off the charts!”
For a sneak listen of what fans can expect, Waze released the preview below, as Aykroyd’s distinct voice is mixed into a rather infectious dance track, reminding you to keep things “nice and steady” while always ensuring to “charge to the Proton Packs.”
Inspired by the Mini Pufts, users can also choose the “spooky” mood setting, letting nearby Waze users know that you’re feeling “strange and supernatural.” Also included is the returning and very much iconic Ecto-1, which was featured previously within the app as part of the marketing behind 2021’s Ghostbusters: Afterlife.
With voice recognition in English, the experience is now available globally, meaning that no matter where you’re located, the heart of the Ghostbusters will be along for your next ride! Users of Wave can click here to activate.
