BTS V Aka Kim Taehyung Supported Ex-ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin Amidst HYBE Controversy? Here's What We Know
Min Hee Jin, former CEO of HYBE’s subsidiary ADOR, recently shared that BTS’s V, also known as Kim Taehyung, has shown her support during challenging times, reaching out from the military. Her revelation comes amid an ongoing dispute between ADOR and HYBE that has sparked much discussion in the K-pop industry. In an interview on October 29, 2024, with music critic Kim Young Dae on his YouTube show School of Music, Min Hee Jin opened up about her connection with Taehyung, who, despite his busy military schedule, reached out to check on her well-being and even sent her a heartfelt birthday text.
Min Hee Jin described BTS V as "cheerful and lively," noting his ability to bring positivity even during difficult times. "Even when I was going through a tough time, he called with his usual bright tone, asking, ‘You’re okay, right?’” she shared. Taehyung’s thoughtfulness left an impression on her, especially since he reached out with a birthday wish at dawn, even from the military.

The conversation also touched on how Taehyung expressed concerns over her openness in public. He asked if it was wise for her to reveal her true self so openly, a question to which she responded that she was simply being honest. Min Hee Jin praised his warmth, saying, “He’s incredibly warm-hearted and kind, which really moved me.” She humorously noted that she sometimes wonders if he’s truly in the army, given how often he checks in on her, underscoring his caring nature.
Beyond her personal anecdotes, Min Hee Jin also addressed her recent legal struggles with HYBE. The Seoul Central District Court recently dismissed her injunction to be reinstated as ADOR’s CEO, a decision that HYBE publicly supported. In a statement, the company expressed gratitude for the court's judgment, adding, "We are grateful for the court’s wise decision and will focus on normalizing ADOR’s operations and supporting our artists." Min Hee Jin’s team, however, voiced disappointment, highlighting that the shareholder agreement should still be valid and calling for her reinstatement. They hinted that they may pursue further action if HYBE does not restore her position.
Taehyung began his mandatory military service in December last year and is expected to be discharged by June next year. The BTS singer’s actions show his caring nature, even amidst his own busy schedule in the military, offering support to a close friend and former collaborator.
