ADOR’s Ex-CEO Min Hee Jin Recalls How BTS Star V Supported Her In Hard Times

HYBE, the parent company of the globally renowned K-pop group BTS, has been embroiled in a dispute with its subsidiary, ADOR, for several months. The conflict began when reports emerged that ADOR’s former CEO, Min Hee Jin, was seeking independent management rights for the label and the girl group NewJeans. Amidst the ongoing controversy, Min Hee Jin recently shared on a show that BTS member Kim Taehyung, also known as V, has been reaching out to her to check on her well-being.

On October 29, Min Hee Jin appeared on the YouTube channel School of Music hosted by music critic Kim Young Dae. During their discussion, the former ADOR CEO shared that Taehyung has been a great source of encouragement during her challenging times. She humorously noted that she sometimes wonders if the K-pop idol is truly in the Army, considering how often he reaches out to her.

Min Hee Jin reminisced about her conversations with the BTS member, saying, “V occasionally calls me from the military. Sometimes, I find myself wondering, ‘Is he really in the army?’ He’s such a bright and cheerful person. We speak informally, and he often asks in his usual carefree manner, ‘Are you doing okay?’" She also shared that Taehyung sent her a heartfelt birthday wish that deeply touched her. “He’s incredibly warm-hearted and kind, which really moved me," Min Hee Jin added.

Further, during the interaction, the former ADOR CEO shared that V was concerned about her openness. Min Hee Jin disclosed that the BTS star had asked her if it was okay for her to be so transparent with the world. However, she informed him that she was “actually holding back a lot in those moments."

In other news, the Seoul Central District Court dismissed her injunction plea to reinstate her as the CEO of ADOR once again. In response to the court’s decision, the parent company HYBE expressed its appreciation, saying that it was “grateful for the court’s wise judgement."

They also assured that they would continue to focus on normalising operations in their subsidiary company, which Min Hee Jin once operated, and further highlighted that they would take care of the artists under its label. However, Min Hee Jin’s team wasn’t in agreement with the ruling. Her representatives indicated that they might take further action to reinstate her as the CEO of ADOR.

Speaking of Kim Taehyung aka V, he began his mandatory military service in December last year. The BTS singer might be discharged by June of next year.
