PSV takes on coach Míchel's Girona FC tonight. The Spaniard has many routines within his selection, but also the necessary youthful talents. Below is an overview of the most important players on the Spanish side.
Paulo Gazzaniga has been under the crossbar in the games that matter for Girona FC this season. He has appeared a total of 15 times at the kickoff this season. In those, he stands at four clean sheets and 21 goals against.
Defense Coach Míchel has many options at the back and regularly rotates both players and lineups. He usually plays with four defenders at the back, but a five-man defense is also not unknown to the Spaniard. Miguel Gutiérrez, David López and Arnau Martínez have the most minutes played in defense this season and therefore have a good chance of starting. Dutchman Daley Blind is also hoping for a starting spot.
Midfield In midfield, Iván Martín has made the most minutes for Girona this season, but he is injured and unavailable. Donny van de Beek does expect to play, as does Yangel Herrera. The third midfielder is still uncertain because of injury concerns. Among others, Gabriel Misehouy, who came from Ajax this summer, is fit and possibly an option. In addition, 19-year-old talent Silvi Clua Oya has played the last three games and could possibly make his UEFA Champions League debut.
Attack The top scorer with the Catalans this season is Christian Stuani with four goals. Although the 38-year-old striker does not always play, he is important when he is on the pitch. Arnaut Danjuma and Abel Ruiz have both been injured for some time. With Bojan Miovski and Bryan Gil, the Spaniards still have two options behind them.
