FPL Challenge: Players to target in Saturday's remaining fixtures

FPL Challenge Players to target in Saturdays remaining fixtures
The Scout highlights the key players to consider for Saturday's remaining seven matches in FPL Challenge

The opening FPL Challenge deadline of Gameweek 30 passed at 12:30, but Fantasy managers can still enter a squad and make changes to their team, selecting any players who are yet to play their match.

Here, The Scout highlights the key men and fixtures to target for the remainder of Saturday’s fixtures.

Saturday 15:00 deadlines could quickly become the favourite for FPL Challenge managers, as this is typically when the promoted clubs will play their matches.

Burnley, Luton Town and Sheffield United have all struggled in defence this season, and you should be loading up on the key attackers from each of their opponents whenever you get the chance.

Cole Palmer (£5.8m) and Malo Gusto (£4.2m) are the top Chelsea picks at home to Burnley, while Nicolas Jackson (£6.8m), Mykhailo Mudryk (£6.3m) and Marc Cucurella (£4.8m) offer further options if you want to take advantage of being able to pick FIVE players per club in FPL Challenge.

Son Heung-min (£10.1m), James Maddison (£8.0m) are the standout Tottenham Hotspur attackers at home to Luton, with full-backs Pedro Porro (£5.9m) and Destiny Udogie (£5.0m) offering potential at both ends of the pitch.

With Richarlison (£6.9m) being named among Spurs' substitutes, any Fantasy managers who have picked the Brazilian in their line-up could now swap him out.

Although this week's Unlimited Funds challenge allows managers to pick as many big-hitters as they want in Gameweek 30, Fulham’s Rodrigo Muniz (£4.6m) is a must-have away to Sheff Utd. Muniz has seven goals in seven matches since securing a starting role, while the Blades have conceded at least five goals in four successive home outings in all competitions.

Alex Iwobi and Andreas Pereira (both £5.3m) can also deliver attacking returns for the Cottagers, while Bernd Leno (£4.8m) and Antonee Robinson (£4.6m) are strong options at the back.

These three matches look the best to target among Saturday’s fixtures, with Son, Palmer and Muniz all genuine captaincy options.

AFC Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke (£7.2m) and Nottingham Forest’s Chris Wood (£4.8m) are further options for your forward lines from the other two 15:00 encounters.

17:30 GMT Fantasy Challenge deadlineAston Villa v Wolves

Forward Ollie Watkins (£9.0m) will be the most popular player for Aston Villa’s home encounter with Wolverhampton Wanderers, while his midfield team-mates Douglas Luiz and Leon Bailey (both £5.7m) are also worth considering.

Luiz is the top-scoring player in home matches in Fantasy this season, with 100 points, and Bailey’s total of 79 points in those encounters is just behind the 85 points of Watkins.

Wolves forward Matheus Cunha (£5.5m) is now back to full fitness following a recent injury, with nine goals and six assists highlighting his all-round potential.

20:00 GMT Fantasy Challenge deadlineBrentford v Man Utd

Manchester United midfield pair Bruno Fernandes (£8.2m) and Marcus Rashford (£8.4m) are the form picks for Saturday’s final match. Fernandes has produced attacking returns in three successive matches for the first time this season, while Rashford has scored in each of the last two Gameweeks.

Rasmus Hojlund (£7.0m) and Alejandro Garnacho (£4.9m) offer further options for those keen to load up on the Man Utd attack.

Brentford’s huge threat from free-kicks and corners could be a big factor here, though – Man Utd have conceded more shots from set-pieces than any other side in the league.

Ivan Toney (£8.2m) looks perfectly placed to threaten the Red Devils’ rearguard and build on his goal for England over the international break. Early-season Fantasy favourite Bryan Mbeumo (£6.7m) is back to full fitness and pushing for his first start since Gameweek 15.
