WHAT'S OUR TEAM NEWS?United's long-term absentees Gabby George, Emma Watson and Jess Simpson remain unavailable for selection due to their knee injuries, while Hinata Miyazawa’s foot problem keeps her out of action. 

Jayde Riviere is a doubt for Sunday’s game, having sustained an injury in our win over Brighton and subsequently withdrawing from international duty with Canada as a result. Geyse, meanwhile, will be unavailable due to Brazil’s progression in the CONCACAF Gold Cup, which has seen them win all three of their group games and sail into the quarter-finals. Marc Skinner is expected to provide a further update on his side in Friday’s press conference. 

THE OPPOSITION After 14 games, West Ham find themselves in the midst of a relegation battle down at the bottom end of the WSL - making every point count at this stage of their campaign. Heading into the winter transfer window, they knew they needed to strengthen, and that is what they did. They particularly bolstered their midfield options, with the signings of Kristie Mewis and Katrina Gorry.

While an early February shock win over Arsenal may have signified a changing of the tide for the Hammers, two weeks later they were beaten 2-0 by Everton. Just five points separate them and bottom-of-the-table Bristol City, and as we enter the business end of the season, the Reds will need to be on top form to prevent this West Ham side from taking precious points at this stage of the campaign.
