UPS has introduced expedited delivery options for customers across key Asia Pacific markets, enhancing connectivity to and from Australia. This initiative comes with the launch of a new flight route linking UPS’s intra-Asia hub in Shenzhen (SZX) to Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport (SYD).

This development enables shipments collected from customers in mainland China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Hong Kong to reach Australia in as little as the next business day.

Moreover, customers in Australia can now enjoy swift deliveries throughout the Asia Pacific region and even to Europe, with the potential for next business day completion.

“From both the import and export perspective, most of Australia’s top trading partners are in Asia Pacific, so we’re delighted to be able to offer our customers faster delivery times across the region,” said Wilfredo Ramos, president UPS Asia Pacific.

“Faster delivery can make all the difference for businesses looking for a competitive edge. With growth expected in industries such as high tech, manufacturing and healthcare over the next few years, we’re the logistics partner businesses can rely on to help them capitalize on this,” Ramos added.

This marks the latest move in UPS’s ongoing efforts to enhance its network and facilities throughout the Asia Pacific region, with recent investments made in Singapore, Japan, mainland China, Vietnam, South Korea, Hong Kong, and the Philippines. These endeavors underscore the company’s commitment to bolstering its suite of integrated express, supply chain, and healthcare logistics services in the area.

Commencing April 3, 2024, improved delivery schedules from the aforementioned Asia Pacific markets to Australia will be in effect for shipments collected between Wednesday and Friday. This service enhancement encompasses all states in Australia except Western Australia.

Furthermore, starting April 5, 2024, next business day delivery from Australia to specified destinations in Asia Pacific and Europe will be available for shipments collected on Fridays. This service extension covers all Australian states except Western Australia.
