Australians secured four Oscars nominations this year, including Margot Robbie, who is a fan-favourite in the Best Picture category as a producer of Barbie.

The Seven Network will bring Australians exclusive coverage of the 96th Oscars®, live and free on Channel 7 and 7plus on Monday, 11 March.

The special coverage begins at 5.30am with an extended edition of Sunrise. Co-hosts Natalie Barr and Matt Shirvington will cross live to Seven’s US correspondent Mylee Hogan on the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre® in Hollywood.

Following Sunrise, viewers can take in all the fashion, glitz and glamour of The Oscars Red Carpet Show from 9.30am AEDT on Channel 7 and streaming live nationally on 7plus.

The Oscars ceremony is live and exclusive from 10.00am AEDT on Channel 7 and streaming live nationally on 7plus, with an encore screening at 8.30pm, straight after Australian Idol’s live verdict show.

Over on 7Bravo, E! Live From The Red Carpet: The 2024 Oscars is live and exclusive from 7.00am AEDT, followed by the Red Carpet Rundown at 9.30am.

Jimmy Kimmel returns as Oscars host for a fourth time, with presenters announced to date including Mahershala Ali, Nicolas Cage, Jamie Lee Curtis, Brendan Fraser, Jessica Lange, Matthew McConaughey, Lupita Nyong’o, Al Pacino, Michelle Pfeiffer, Ke Huy Quan, Sam Rockwell, Michelle Yeoh and Zendaya.

Jon Batiste, Becky G, Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell, Scott George and the Osage Singers, and Ryan Gosling and Mark Ronson will take the stage to perform this year’s nominated songs.

Screenwriter Tony McNamara has been nominated for Adapted Screenplay (Writing) for Yorgos Lanthimos’ Poor Things, while producers Nicky Bentham (The After) and Sara McFarlane (Red, White and Blue) are going head-to-head in the Short Film (Live Action) category.
